Points are a special sort of currency in a sense. When a player signs up to play Torn City, they'll be asked to vote for Torn City at a couple of gaming voting sites. This point system was implimented, in an effort to increase the amount of votes for Torn City on such gaming voting sites.

Gaining points and Donating

Players can gain points by participating in various offers, depending on what is available at the current time. The current and only free method for gaining points without donating to the game or buying points from the Points Market is to vote for Torn City at Top Web Games[1] or Apex Web Gaming [2] once a week.

The other "free" method (in terms of real money) for gaining points is through the Points Market, accessed from the City Page. The Points Market is a place where players can buy points that have been earned by other players. These other players are willingly selling these points and make a nice profit some times. At this time, the average cost of a single point is roughly $48,000 of in-game money. The Points Market has a very competitive market and for that, the price of a single point is not expected to fluctuate as long as no alternate methods for gaining points for free at a much faster rate are introduced into the game. However, since points from voting are only given out on monday mornings now, the price may flux somewhat.

An alternate method for obtaining points is to become a donator and recieve 50 points. This costs five US dollars for a Donator Pack and can be done while logged in to the game. Usage

By accessing the Points Building from the City menu, players are able to exchange their points for various rewards, their costs depending on the individual award. The list is as such:
