Why do crimes?
Crimes are one of the best ways to make money in Torn City. Each crime that you can do in Torn City will take some nerve from you.
Every five mintues you gain 1 nerve point. The more nerve the crime takes, the more cash and crime points you will gain.
Starting your life of crime

When you first start doing crimes you can only successfully complete 'Search for Cash' crimes.
You do not get much cash for this but it's a start and they have to be done.
Searching under the old bridge usually gives the most amount of money, but this might not give as many crime points.
The police cannot arrest you when you are searching for cash.
Once you have searched for cash enough times you will then be moved onto selling copied media.
In your first ten days, a tick will appear to show which crimes are easily passed,
but sometimes you are able to move up to the next crime before the tick appears.
Moving on to better crimes
The crimes you are able to do depend on your crime points - The more you have the higher your success rate. If you keep failing a crime,
or getting the brown 'no cash, but no jail' message then you will need to do easier crimes a bit more before you can move up.
Being able to judge when to move up is one of the great skills in Torn City. Some people try the next crime up once just before they go to sleep,
so if they do get jailed it doesn't bother them too much. (You will still lose crime points for getting jailed.)
Cash vs. experience
Some crimes will give you much more cash, but less experience. Often the higher cash crimes are also a lot harder to do,
for instance robbing the jewelry store is EXTREMELY hard, and should probably be skipped. If your finding it hard to move to the next crime level
it might be that you are doing a crime that doesn't give much experience, so move down a crime you might find your success rate at higher crimes increases quicker.

Other crime information:
- Robbing the sweetshop: You will need a gun (primary or secondary) to attempt this crime.
- Transport drugs: In order to do these crimes, you first must complete the drivers license education course.
- Plant a virus: In order to do these crimes you need to make or buy viruses, and own a Personal Computer.
To make viruses you first must program them. To program them you need to have an education in programming.
Once you have a computer and the knowledge go to the items page then look for your computer then switch it on.
- Arson: In order to do these crimes, you will need a gas can.
- Stealing cars: You will need a coat hanger, and at least a 30 nerve bar. Even then this crime will get you jailed a LOT.
Nearly all of the items you get from crimes are worthless in Torn City. The only thing they are good for is selling to make extra cash.
Save the items up until you have enough to buy something nice, and to keep people who mug you from getting too much of your cash!

15 nerve bar - search for cash
20 nerve bar - jewelry shop
20- 25 nerve bar - larceny
30 nerve bar - pawnshop
35+ nerve - GTA
