Casino

From TornCityWiki

In addition to having some fun, and taking your mind off jail, crime, faction wars, and such, the casino is a great place to make money. Yes MAKE money. Simply by looking at the mathematical odds its easy to see that both roulette and slots will give you profit in the long run. The way High-Low works is not as easy to judge.

Slots

Easily the safest option for those of you who have very little funds. The odds of getting two of the same number are 4 in 9, and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 81. The cost to play is $5* your level and one casino token, if you get 2 out of the 3 numbers you get double the money you speant, and if you match all three number you get 50* what you spent.

Roulette

The best way to make money. The odds are 50 to 38, meaning for every $38 you will get $50 back in the long run. If you have the funds then this means you can bet a lot, and get a lot back. Unlike slots where you can only bet $5 per level, Roulette you can bet $25 per level making 5 times as much profit. The game is random. As such whatever you do you will always have the same chance, so it’s just whatever makes you feel lucky. Whether you stick with the same number for all of your tickets, or switch numbers every time you win, you will statically always win in the end.

High-Low

Gotta look at the probabilities a bit more…

You have at least a 46% chance of winning, but obviously a string of 22 (which I think is when you get told you have to quit) is very unlikely... (About 0.001%) - You do get massive return on the stake however, and only need to get a streak of 14 to be in profit on 75 of your tickets...

Keno

Each game costs $(level*25) to play. You select 15 numbers between 1 and 99 (selecting the same numbers will not double your winnings or the chance of winning). You need to get at least 4 winning numbers to win; 3 winning numbers is a free game.

Keno is one of the few TC Casino games that has a <1 rate of return. Play something else!

Casino Job

Just to remind you that working for the casino job points can be swapped for casino tickets. Every 1000 points you swap you get 25 extra turns, and if used wisely that can be tens of thousands of extra dollars a day, depending on your level and job ranking.

Craps

A complicated game that has won me $1000 total when I only had $100 to start with. On your first roll you want to get a 7 or 11. Doing so will automatically make you win and you will get some money for it. After that you want to get the number you rolled as point without getting 7.

(Ex. First Roll = 7 or 11 = Money)

    (First Roll = 2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,12
     Second Roll = You don't want 7)

So say I roll a 5 on my first roll. Then I want a 5 because that is the point and I will therefore get money. I don't want a 7 because I'll lose and not get money.

Blackjack

The classic 21 card game.

Russian Roulette

Be careful not to shoot yourself in the foot.

Texas Hold'em
